Tom Wheaton is a senior transformation leader with extensive experience across media and technology. He works with boards and executive teams to deliver complex programmes that modernise platforms, strengthen cyber resilience, and create lasting value through effective procurement and supplier strategy.
Tom’s remit combines executive leadership with hands-on delivery - from shaping five-year technology roadmaps to designing and running RFP and ITT processes, leading tender evaluations, and directing vendor selection for multi-million-pound programmes.
He has advised the Barb Executive Team on technology transformation, cyber security, and supplier management, achieving Cyber Security Essentials accreditation, procuring a multi-market CRM platform, and leading supplier selection for Barb’s next-generation Data Hub and API services.
Earlier in his career, Tom delivered several industry firsts, including Sky’s £35m AdSmart Headend Programme, Red Bee Media’s inaugural SaaS content solution, TiVo’s first cloud-based SaaS platform, and Foxtel’s first major engagement with Ericsson.
Beyond delivery, Tom is a Rise mentor, a senior Neurodiversity in Business leader, a 2025 GB Rowing Champion, and a local university coach.
